The Hawke’s Bay Rescue Helicopter Trust is committed to protecting our supporter’s privacy. Any information that is supplied to us will be held by the Hawke’s Bay Rescue Helicopter Trust only, and may be used to:

• Inform supporters about the work of the Hawke’s Bay Rescue Helicopter Trust
• Send acknowledgements and tax receipts for donations

Resale or disclosure of information

• The Hawke’s Bay Rescue Helicopter Trust does not sell, rent, loan, trade, or lease any personal information of our supporters to other organisations.
• The personal information obtained for one purpose will not be used for another and information will only be kept for as long as necessary to achieve the purpose for which it was collected.
• Supporter information may be shared with third party suppliers, for example to someone working on contract. In this instance reasonable steps will be taken to prevent the unauthorised disclosure of that information.
• Personal information will not be disclosed to any other third party without prior consent from the customer, unless the Hawke’s Bay Rescue Helicopter Trust honestly believe disclosure is required by law.

Storage and security
The Hawke’s Bay Rescue Helicopter Trust takes all reasonable steps to ensure the security of all information that we hold about our supporters, and to keep this information accurate and up to date. We use a range of methods to keep information as safe as possible.

• We will ensure there are reasonable safeguards against loss, misuse or disclosure of personal information, and use a password accessible, externally hosted and backed database system to keep this information secure.
• Any credit card, bank account or other financial data where stored, transferred or processed is by a securely processed using DPS 

Donor right to access personal information

The Hawke’s Bay Rescue Helicopter Trust ensures that supporters are able to access, change, and update any information that we hold about them at any time.  If a supporter wishes to do this, they should call 06 878 1630 stating their name, contact details, and the details of your request. We will acknowledge requests within three business days.

Unsubscribe policy

The Hawke’s Bay Rescue Helicopter Trust pledges not to send supporters emails or letters unless they want us to. If, at any time a supporter no longer wishes to receive communication from us they can email us at mfm@hbhrt.org.nz or call 06 878 1630. All unsubscribe requests will be actioned as soon as possible. 

Phone calls
When the Hawke’s Bay Rescue Helicopter Trust contacts customers, or they contact the Trust, we like to ensure that telephone operators are as skilled as possible in answering queries and having conversations with existing or potential supporters. We therefore may monitor or record calls for quality assurance
