Two rescue missions to Wairoa for patients involved in a MVA

4 years ago - Wednesday 24th June
• 0125 Hours Tasked by Air Desk to Wairoa Beach to a male patient suffering head injuries as a result of an MVA – the patient was flown to Hawke’s Bay Hospital for further assessment and treatment.
• 1000 hours At the request of DHB flew to Wairoa Hospital, with a flight nurse, to retrieve a female patient with injuries as a result of an MVA.

Te Haroto for a MVA

4 years ago - Sunday 21st June
• 1600 hours Tasked by Air Desk to an MVA on SH-5 at Te Haroto. Adverse weather prevented the helicopter reaching the scene of the accident.

Wairoa Hospital and Foxton rescue

4 years ago - Thursday 18th June
• 0230 hours At the request of HBDHB flew to Wairoa Hospital to retrieve a male patient, aged in his 70’s, with a medical complaint.
• 1330 hours Tasked by Air Desk to Foxton to a young boy, with suspected spinal injuries – the boy was flown from Foxton to Napier Airport where he was transferred to a SRSL fixed wing air ambulance, crewed with Doctor and Nurse, to fly the patient to Middlemore Spinal unit.

Two Missions for the crew

4 years ago - Monday 15th June
• 1000 hours Tasked by Air Desk to Putorini to a female patient aged in her 50’s with a medical condition – she was flown to Hawke’s Bay Hospital for follow up treatment.
• 2115 hours At the request of HBDHB flew to Wairoa Hospital to retrieve a female patient, aged in her 30’s, suffering injuries as a result of a fall whilst horse riding - she was flown to Hawke’s Bay Hospital for follow up treatment.

Female Trampser lost near Waipatiki Beach

4 years ago - Sunday 14th June
• 1630 hours Tasked by Police to locate a female tramper lost in the bush in the hills near Waipatiki Beach – with the aid of her cellphone the helicopter was able to fly directly to her location, and winch her out (after dark).

Male in 70's sustained injuries after a fall

4 years ago - Friday 12th June
• 1600 hours Tasked by DHB to fly to Wairoa to retrieve a male patient, aged in his 70’s, who sustained injuries as a result of a fall – he was flown to Hawke’s Bay Hospital.

Three hospital transfers in one day

4 years ago - Thursday 11th June
• 0200 hours At the request of HBDHB transported a 67 y/o male patient, accompanied by an ICU Doctor and Flight Nurse, to Wellington Hospital.
• 1330 hours At the request of HBDHB transported a 60 y/o male patient, accompanied by an ICU Doctor and Flight Nurse, to Wellington Hospital.
• 1700 hours At request of DHB flew to Wairoa to retrieve a male patient with a medical condition.

Ruahine Ranges and Wairoa Midwife Mission

4 years ago - Wednesday 10th June
• 1500 hours Tasked by Air Desk to Ruahine Ranges to a teenage male who had a fall from his mountain bike, sustaining moderate injuries – the young man was flown to Hawkes Bay Hospital for follow up treatment.
• 2200 hours At request of HBDHB flew to Wairoa with a midwife to assist with a delivery – the Mum and newborn baby were flown to Hawke’s Bay Hospital.

Wairoa Hospital Transfer

4 years ago - Tuesday 9th June
• 1145 hours At the request of HBDHB flew to Wairoa Hospital to retrieve a male patient with a medical condition.

Two missions in Wairoa

4 years ago - Monday 8th June
• 1600 hours Tasked by Air Desk to Wairoa for a patient with a medical condition, the helicopter was stood down en route when it was confirmed the patient was deceased.
• 1730 hours Tasked by Rescue Coordination Centre to investigate a beacon activation at Tukemohiki (north of Wairoa), it was determined the beacon activation was accidental, so the helicopter returned to base.
