A three mission day

2 years ago - Wednesday 17th August
• 1130 hours At the request of the hospital flew to Wairoa with a Doctor and Flight Nurse to retrieve a 70 y/o male patient with a chest pain.
• 1500 hours At the request of the hospital transported a 62 y/o male patient suffering from a stroke to Wellington Hospital – the patient was accompanied by a Doctor and Flight Nurse.
• 2100 hours Tasked by Air Desk to fly to Wairoa to meet a St John Road Ambulance for hand over of a 20 y/o male patient with a medical condition – the patient was flown to Hawke’s Bay Hospital

Respiratory issues and chest pain

2 years ago - Monday 15th August
• 0810 hours Tasked by Air Desk to Taihape to a male patient, aged in his 70’s with respiratory issues – the patient was transported to Whanganui Hospital.
• 1715 hours At the request of the hospital flew to Wairoa with a Doctor and Flight Nurse to retrieve a 50 y/o male patient with a chest pain.

Two trips to Wairoa and an emergency beacon activation

2 years ago - Saturday 13th August
• 0225 hours Tasked by Air Desk to Wairoa to attend a a female patient with a compound fracture to her ankle resulting from a fall at home – the patient was flown to Hawke’s Bay Hospital.
• 0545 hours At the request of Hospital flew to Wairoa Hospital to retrieve a 30 y/o maternity patient
• 1235 hours Tasked by Rescue Coordination Centre to respond to a beacon activation in the Kaimanawa Ranges. Upon arrival a 58 y/o male tramper was found to be suffering from a heart attack, requiring immediate transport to the cardiac unit at Wellington Hospital.

Burns patient transferred from Wairoa

2 years ago - Thursday 11th August
• 0615 hours At the request of Hospital flew to Wairoa Hospital, with a Flight Nurse and our own Critical Care Paramedic to retrieve a male patient initially suffering burns when subsequently turned septic.

Breathing difficulties

2 years ago - Sunday 7th August
• 1335 hours Tasked by Air Desk to fly to Wairoa to attend a 61 y/o female patient with breathing difficulties – the patient was flown to Hawke’s Bay Hospital.

Motor bike accident in Waimarama

2 years ago - Saturday 6th August
• 1750 hours Tasked by Air Desk to Waimarama where a teenage male sustained injuries as a result of an MBA (motor bike accident) – the motorcyclist was flown to Hawke’s Bay Hospital.

Maternity transfer from Wairoa

2 years ago - Friday 5th August
• 2154 hours At the request of Hospital flew to Wairoa Hospital, with a Flight Nurse and ICU Doctor to retrieve a 32 y/o female maternity patient.

MVA in Takapau and Wairoa medical transfer

2 years ago - Thursday 4th August
• 1140 hours Tasked by Air Desk to Takapau where a female patient suffered injuries as a result of an MVA (motor vehicle accident) – the patient was flown to Hawkes Bay Hospital with moderate injuries.
• 2030 hours At the request of Hospital flew to Wairoa Hospital, with a Flight Nurse and ICU Doctor to retrieve a 30 y/o female patient with a medical condition.

Abdominal pain in Wairoa

2 years ago - Wednesday 2nd August
• 1515 hours At the request of Hospital flew to Wairoa Hospital, with a Flight Nurse and our Critical Care Paramedic to retrieve a 66 y/o male patient with an abdominal pain.

Difficult birth

2 years ago - Friday 29th July
• 0350 hours Requested by the Hospital to fly to Wairoa with a nurse and midwife to assist with a difficult child birth.
