Post-surgery transfer, Wairoa transfer and deceased diver

22 months ago - Saturday 11th February
• 1600 hours Tasked by Air Desk to Pourerere beach, upon arrival a male diver who had been found floating face down in the water was confirmed to be deceased.
• 1830 hours At the request of the hospital flew to Wairoa to return a post-surgery patient to Wairoa. On the return journey a 66 y/o female patient with a medical condition was brought to Hastings Hospital.

Wellington Cardiac transfer

22 months ago - Thursday 9th February
• 1758 hours At the request of hospital flew to Wellington with a 60 y/o male patient with a cardiac condition, accompanied by a Doctor and Flight Nurse.

Wairoa cardiac transfer

22 months ago - Wednesday 8th February
• 2123 hours At the request of hospital flew to Wairoa with a Doctor and flight Nurse to retrieve a 72 y/o male patient with a cardiac complaint.

Two cardiac conditions, Tramper injury, Motorbike accident

22 months ago - Monday 6th February
• 0622 hours Tasked by Air Desk to meet a St John Ambulance for helipad handover of a 84 y/o male patient with a cardiac condition requiring direct transfer to Wellington. Adverse weather was encountered around Manawatu Gorge and Wairarapa requiring the helicopter to turn back and deliver the patient to Hastings Hospital.
• 1239 hours Tasked by Air Desk to Bell Rock (near Shine Falls) to a 28 y/o female tramper with an ankle injury – the patient was flown to Hawke’s Bay Hospital.
• 1429 hours Initially tasked by Air Desk to Ashley Clinton to a motor bike accident. The helicopter and crew were stood down enroute when it was determined that the patient was deceased.
• 1846 hours Tasked by Air Desk to meet a St John Ambulance for helipad handover of a 53 y/o male patient with a cardiac condition requiring direct transfer to Wellington. The patient was successfully delivered to Wellington Hospital.

PLB Activation, Chemical burns and a spinal injury

22 months ago - Sunday 5th February
• 0745 hours Tasked by Rescue Coordination Centre to respond to a PLB activation in the Ruahine Ranges. Upon arrival we found a teenage girl with a leg injury preventing her from walking, so she was flown back to the car park without the need for any further medical treatment.
• 1325 hours Tasked by Air Desk to fly to Wairoa to meet a St John Ambulance for a helipad handover of a male patient with chemical burns sustained whilst working in a nearby factory – the patient was flown to Waikato Hospital.
• 1800 hours At the request of the hospital flew to Wairoa with a Doctor and Flight Nurse to retrieve a female patient with spinal injuries sustained whilst horse riding – she was flown to Hawke’s bay Hospital

Patient with pregnancy complications

22 months ago - Saturday 4th February
• 1350 hours At the request of hospital flew to Wairoa with a Mid-wife and flight nurse to retrieve a female patient with pregnancy complications.

Child transfer from Wairoa

22 months ago - Friday 3rd February
• 1800 hours At the request of hospital flew to Wairoa with a Doctor and Flight Nurse to retrieve a young child with a medical condition.

Birthing complications

22 months ago - Tuesday 1st February
• 1500 hours At the request of hospital flew to Wairoa with a Mid-wife and flight nurse to retrieve a female patient with birthing complications.

Transfer of patient suffering seizures

22 months ago - Monday 30th January
• 1000 hours Tasked by Air Desk to fly to Wairoa to meet a St John Ambulance for a helipad handover of a female patient suffering uncontrollable seizures, she was stabilised by our Critical Care Flight Paramedic then flown to Hawke’s Bay Hospital for follow up treatment.

Wairoa medical transfer for infant

23 months ago - Sunday 29th January
• 1430 hours At the request of the hospital flew to Wairoa with a Doctor and tow Flight Nurses to retrieve an infant female patient with a medical condition.
