Arm laceration and 1yr old with a medical condition

20 months ago - Monday 27th March
• 1242 hours Tasked by Air Desk to Tarawera to a 31 y/o male patient who sustained a deep laceration to his arm whilst building a fence – he was flown to Hawke’s Bay hospital for follow up treatment.
• 1812 hours At the request of hospital flew to Wairoa with a Doctor and Flight Nurse to retrieve a 1 y/o child with a medical condition.

A patient with reoccurring seizures

20 months ago - Saturday 25th March
• 2300 hours Tasked by Air Desk to Flemington to a 53 y/o male patient suffering recurring seizures, the patient was flown to Hawke’s Bay Hospital.

Cardiac condition, medical condition, a broken arm and a stroke

20 months ago - Thursday 23rd March
• 0400 hours Requested by Air Desk to meet a St John Ambulance at our helipad for handover of a 55 y/o female patient with a cardiac condition requiring immediate transfer to Wellington Hospital.
• 1657 hours Tasked by Air Desk to fly to Tuai to a 69 y/o male with a medical condition – the patient was flown to Gisborne hospital.
• 1857 hours Whilst on the return from Gisborne requested by hospital to stop in Wairoa to pick up an 11 y/o male patient suffering a broken arm after falling from a climbing frame at school, he was flown to Hawke’s bay hospital.
• 2100 hours Tasked by Air Desk to meet a St John ambulance with a 67 y/o female patient suffering from a stroke, for a helipad handover at Wairoa hospital.

Wellington Cardiac and Wairoa Transfers

20 months ago - Wednesday 22nd March
• 1640 hours At the request of the hospital flew a 72 y/o female patient with a cardiac condition to Wellington – the patient was accompanied by a Doctor and Flight Nurse.
• 2045 hours At the request of the hospital flew to Wairoa with a Doctor and Flight Nurse to retrieve a 29 y/o male patient with a medical condition.

Truck rollover and post surgery complications

20 months ago - Tuesday 21st March
• 1500 hours Tasked by Air Desk to Putorino to a 17 y/o road worker involved in a truck rollover, the occupant of the truck self-extricated but suffered bruising from the seat belt, so he was flown to Hawke’s Bay hospital for further assessment and observation.
• 1700 hours Tasked by Air Desk to Aramoana to a 68 y/o female suffering post-surgery complications, she was flown to Hawke’s Bay hospital.

Transfer to Waikato and from Wairoa

20 months ago - Monday 20th March
• 1150 hours Tasked by Air Desk to fly to Gisborne to transfer a 58 y/o female patient with a cardiac condition to Waikato Hospital, clinical supervision of the patient was provide by our Critical Care Paramedics.
• 2140 hours At the request of the hospital flew to Wairoa with a Doctor and Flight nurse to retrieve 2 patients – firstly a 61 y/o female with a cardiac condition, and secondly a 47 y/o male with a medical condition.

Stroke patient transfer to hospital

20 months ago - Sunday 19th March
• 1200 hours Tasked by Air Desk to Porangahu to a 65 y/o female suffering from a stroke, the patient was flown to Hawke’s Bay Hospital.

Transport for a stroke patient

20 months ago - Saturday 18th March
• 1930 hours At the request of the hospital flew an 83 y/o female patient suffering from a stroke to Napier airport for transport on a fixed wing air ambulance to a tertiary hospital for advanced care.

Respiratory condition, seizures and a water search

21 months ago - Friday 17th March
• 1500 hours At the request of the hospital flew to Wairoa with a Doctor and Flight Nurse to retrieve an 8 y/o female with a respiratory condition.
• 1709 hours Tasked by Air Desk to Nuhaka to a 3 y/o toddler, suffering from seizures. The patient was flown to Gisborne Hospital
• 1845 hours Whilst in Gisborne tasked by Rescue Coordination Centre to assist Gisborne Rescue Helicopter with a search 25km off the coast of Gisborne after a passenger on a cruise ship reported seeing a suspicious object (possibly a body) floating in the water. The search failed to locate anything unusual.

Wairoa and Wellington Transfers

21 months ago - Wednesday 15th March
• 0010 hours At the request of the hospital flew to Wairoa with a Doctor and Flight Nurse to retrieve an 8 y/o male child with a respiratory condition.
• 1300 hours Tasked by Air Desk to meet a St John road ambulance at Bridge Pa Airport for a tarmac handover of a 75 y/o male patient with a cardiac condition requiring immediate transfer to Wellington Hospital.
