Two Wairoa transfers

15 months ago - Monday 4th September
• 1057 hours Requested by hospital to fly to Wairoa hospital with a Doctor and Flight Nurse to retrieve a male patient, in his 70’s, with a head injury.
• 1217 hours Requested by hospital to fly to Wairoa hospital with a Doctor and Flight Nurse to retrieve a female patient, in her 50’s, with a medical condition.

Cadiac condition and MBA

15 months ago - Thursday 31st August
• 1036 Hours Requested by hospital to fly to Wairoa with a Doctor and Flight Nurse to retrieve a male patient, aged in his 70’s, with a cardiac condition.
• 1430 hours Tasked by Air Desk to fly to Waimarama to a MBA (motorbike accident) where a male patient, aged in his 50’s, suffered multi system trauma injuries.

Napier airport drop off and pickup

15 months ago - Sunday 27th August
• 1400 hours At the request of hospital transferred a female patient with a brain bleed to a pressurised fixed wing air ambulance at Napier Airport.
• 1437 hours At the request of hospital transferred 2 patients from Napier Airport to Wairoa Hospital.

Motorbike vs Truck accident

15 months ago - Saturday 26th August
• 1505 hours Tasked by Air Desk to a motorbike versus truck accident – upon arrival it was found the 47 y/o male motorcyclist suffered lacerations and possible fracture to his lower leg.

Respiratory distress

15 months ago - Thursday 24th August
• 0017 hours At the request of the hospital flew to Wairoa with a Doctor and Flight Nurse to retrieve a 74 y/o female patient with respiratory distress.

Maternity and respiratory transfers from Wairoa

15 months ago - Monday 21st August
• 0823 hours At the request of the hospital flew to Wairoa with a Flight Nurse and our own Critical Care Paramedic to retrieve a 29 y/o female maternity patient.
• 1338 hours At the request of hospital flew to Wairoa with a Doctor and Flight Nurse to retrieve a 63 y/o female patient with respiratory distress.

Urgent Wellington Transfer

15 months ago - Sunday 20th August
• 0823 hours At the request of Air Desk waited arrival of a St John Ambulance for a helipad handover of a 55 y/o male patient requiring immediate transfer to Wellington Hospital. Adverse weather in Wellington meant that the helicopter crew arranged a patient handover at Paraparaumu Airport to Wellington Free Ambulance for final transfer by road to Wellington Hospital.

Wairoa transfer and Napier-Taupo MVA

15 months ago - Friday 18th August
• 0255 hours At the request of hospital flew to Wairoa with a Midwife and Flight Nurse to retrieve a 24 y/o female with birthing complications.
• 1009 hours Tasked by Air Desk to attend an MVA on SH-5 at Tarawera, as part of a 2 helicopter response to the accident. A 56 y/o female occupant with moderate injuries was flown to Hawke’s Bay Hospital for assessment and treatment. The Greenlea Helicopter from Taupo attended the accident, and transported a 70 y/o male patient with moderate injuries to Hawke’s Bay Hospital.

Respiratory transfer from Wairoa

15 months ago - Thursday 17th August
• 2048 hours At the request of the hospital flew to Wairoa to retrieve a 58 y/o male patient with a respiratory condition – clinical care of the patient was provided by our Critcal Care Paramedic.

Helipad handover and 2 trips to Wairoa

15 months ago - Tuesday 15th August
• 0600 hours Tasked by Air Desk to meet a St John Ambulance for a helipad handover of an 81 y/o male patient with a cardiac condition requiring immediate transfer to Wellington Hospital.
• 1655 hours At the request of the hospital flew to Wairoa, with a Doctor and Flight Nurse, to retrieve a 55 y/o male patient with a medical condition.
• 2216 hours At the request of hospital flew to Wairoa with a Doctor and Critical care Paramedic to retrieve a 33 y/o female patient with a medical condition.
