Facial Injuries in a rural address at Ruakutiri

0800 The Rescue Helicopter responded to a farm address at Ruakutiri to a 46 y.o. male truck driver who was loading cattle on to a stock truck, when a cattle beast crashed a gate in the yards in to the face of the truck driver. The truck driver was suffering facial injuries, he was transported to Gisborne Hospital for assessment and treatment.

Wairoa Pick up on way back to Hastings

1100 As the Lowe Corporation Rescue Helicopter was returning from Gisborne it was diverted to Wairoa Hospital to transport a male patient with a dislocated hip to Hawkes Bay Hospital.

Police Search and Rescue

7 years ago - Wednesday 16th May
2300 The Lowe Corporation Rescue Helicopter was tasked to assist Police to located 2 male hunters who were lost, and suffering from hypothermia, high on an alpine ridge in the Ruahine ranges. Due to poor visibility and high wind in the area the helicopter was unable to access the search area. However the helicopter was used to transport 3 LandSAR volunteers part way up the ranges, where the LandSAR team disembarked and proceeded on foot to search for the lost hunters. We understand the 3 member LandSAR team located the hunters around 5:00 a.m. this morning, and safely walked them out later in the morning.

Wairoa Hospital

0600 Responded to Wairoa hospital for a patient with breathing problems, patient was deceased on arrival

Mahia and Takapau emergency retrievals

7 years ago - Saturday 28 April
1300 The rescue helicopter was responded to Mahia for a male in his 60’s who fell from the top of a shipping container and sustained a fractured wrist and neck injuries. He was transported to Hawke’s Bay Hospital for further assessment and treatment.
1600 The rescue helicopter was responded to Takapau for a 58 year old female who fell from a horse and sustained a pelvis and chest injuries. She was transported to Hawke’s Bay Hospital for further treatment.

Quad Bike Roll and Wellington Hospital Transfer

7 years ago - Friday 27 April
0900 The Lowe Corporation Rescue Helicopter was tasked this morning to a farm north west of Frasertown in northern Hawke’s Bay to a 29 y.o. farm worker, who suffered pelvis and hip injuries, after his quad bike rolled down steep farm terrain. He was stabilised at the scene by St John Paramedics then flown to Hawke’s Bay Hospital for further treatment.
1300 Transported a 67yo male from Hawke’s Bay Hospital to Wellington with heart problems.

1000 Transported a 70 y.o. male patient with cardiac problems from Hawke’s Bay Hospital to Wellington Hospital.
