Northern Hawke's Bay Missions

5 years ago - Monday 27th April
• 1015 hours Tasked by Air Desk to Nuhaka for a male patient with a chest pain – he was flown to Hawke’s Bay Hospital.
• 1230 hours At the request of DHB, flew a midwife and nurse to Wairoa Hospital to retrieve a female patient with a maternity complication

Maternity Patient

5 years ago - Sunday 26th April
1730 hours Flew to Wairoa with a Midwife and Flight Nurse to retrieve a mother and new born baby – they were flown to Hawkes Bay Hospital for follow up treatment.

Neurological Patient

5 years ago - Tuesday 21st April
1830 hours Tasked by DHB to fly a female patient, aged in her 70’s with a neurological condition, to Wellington Hospital. The patient was accompanied by a Doctor and Flight Nurse.

Putorino Farm Accident

5 years ago - Sunday 19th April
• 1300 hours Tasked by Air Desk to Putorino to a male patient aged in his 30’s, who suffered a lower back injury in a farming accident - the patient was flown to Hawke’s Bay Hospital.

Mohaka and Waimarama

5 years ago - Saturday 18th April
• 0900 hours Tasked by Air Desk to a report of an MVA at Waimarama. The Helicopter was stood down en route when further information from the scene confirmed no injuries
• 1030 hours Tasked by Air Desk to Mohaka township to a male patient who suffered a collapse from an unknown cause – the patient was flown to Hawke’s Bay Hospital for follow up treatment and assessment.

Farm vehicle rollover

5 years ago - Friday 17th April
• 0900 hours Tasked by Air Desk to attend an accident at Piahatua where 2 passengers were trapped in a farm vehicle rollover. This was a 2 helicopter response with Palmerston North Rescue Helicopter also attending. The 2 patients were transported to Palmerston North hospital one patient per helicopter

Stab wounds in Te Puia

5 years ago - Thursday 16th April
• 0545 hours Tasked by Air Desk to Te Puia hospital to retrieve a male patient with stab wounds – the patient was flown to Gisborne Hospital

Neurological condition to Wellington

5 years ago - Wednesday 15th April
• 0100 hours At the request of HBDHB flew a male patient with a neurological condition, accompanied by a Doctor and Flight Nurse, to Wellington Hospital.

Mahia Patient with eye injury

5 years ago - Saturday 4th April
Time = 1620 hours Tasked by Air Desk to Mahia to a male, aged in his 20’s, who was fencing on a farm when he was struck in the eye with the fencing wire, he was flown to Hawkes Bay Hospital for further assessment and treatment.

Child suffering seizures

5 years ago - Friday 3rd April
Time = 1745 hours Tasked by Air Desk to meet a road ambulance in Wairoa with a young child suffering seizures, the child was flown to Hawkes Bay Hospital.
