Cardiac condition, seizures and a stroke

24 months ago - Monday 26th December
• 0937 hours Tasked by Air Desk to Mahia to a 68 y/o male patient with a cardiac condition – the patient was flown to Hawke’s Bay Hospital.
• 1730 hours Tasked by Air Desk to a report of a child having seizures, the helicopter was stood down soon after becoming airborne.
• 1826 hours Requested by hospital to fly to Wairoa, with a Doctor and Flight Nurse, to retrieve a 70 y/o male patient with a stroke.

Pregnancy complications and a stroke

24 months ago - Sunday 25th December
• 0850 hours Requested by hospital to fly to Wairoa with a Flight Nurse and Midwife to retrieve a 26 y/o female patient with pregnancy complications.
• 1150 hours Requested by hospital to fly to Wairoa, with a Flight Nurse and our Critical Care Paramedic to retrieve a 82 y/o male patient with a stroke.

• 1718 hours Requested by hospital to fly to Wairoa, with a Flight Nurse and our Critical Care Paramedic to retrieve a 79 y/o male patient with a medical condition.

Medical transfer from Wairoa

2 years ago - Thursday 22nd December
• 1230 hours Requested by hospital to fly to Wairoa, with a Flight Nurse and our Critical Care Paramedic to retrieve a 70 y/o male patient with a medical condition.

Motor bike accident

2 years ago - Wednesday 21st December
• 1554 hours Requested by hospital to fly to Wairoa, with a Flight Nurse and our Critical Care Paramedic to retrieve a 38 y/o male patient with injuries sustained in a motorbike accident.

Cardiac transfer from Wairoa

2 years ago - Tuesday 20th December
• 1211 hours Requested by hospital to fly to Wairoa to retrieve a male patient with cardiac issues – the mission was abandoned when low cloud was encountered near Waipataki Beach.

Wairoa and Raupaunga missions

2 years ago - Monday 19th December
• 0824 hours Requested by hospital to fly to Wairoa to retrieve a patient with stab wounds – the mission was abandoned when low cloud was encountered near Waipataki Beach.
• 1216 hours Requested by hospital to fly to Wairoa, with a Flight Nurse and our Critical Care Paramedic to retrieve a teenage male patient with stab wounds.
• 1348 hours Tasked by Air Desk to a report of a cardiac arrest at Raupaunga – sadly, the patient had deceased before our arrival.

Head injury resulting in seizures

2 years ago - Sunday 18th December
• 1200 hours At the request of hospital flew to Wairoa, with a Doctor and Flight Nurse, to retrieve a 54 y/o female patient suffering from seizures as a result of a head injury.

Beacon activation and medical event

2 years ago - Saturday 17th December
• 1528 hours Tasked by Rescue Coordination Centre to a beacon activation on the Mohaka River, on arrival it was found that a group of kayakers had been separated for the main party, there were no injuries so the missing kayakers were re-united with the kayaking party to continue there adventure.
• 2141 hours Tasked by Air Desk to a report of a collapsed person at Pourerere, adverse weather forced the helicopter to turn back to base.

Cardiac condition and beacon activation

2 years ago - Friday 16th December
• 1336 hours At the request of hospital flew to Wairoa with a Doctor and Flight Nurse to retrieve a 47 y/o male with a cardiac condition – the patient and the medical team were flown to Napier Airport for onward transport to Wellington hospital.
• 1745 hours Tasked by Rescue Coordination Centre to a beacon activation at Lake Waikaremoana, where a 32 y/o male tramper was found with a leg laceration requiring hospital treatment – the tramper was flown to Hawkes Bay hospital.
