Gisborne transfer and a trip and fall

21 months ago - Thursday 20th July
• 1317 hours Tasked by Air Desk to Tutira to a 24 y/o forestry worker who tripped and fell injuring his leg – he was flown to Hawke’s Bay Hospital for follow up.
• 1642 hours Tasked by Air Desk to fly to Te Puia Springs Hospital to a 23 y/o female patient with a medical condition, requiring transport to Gisborne Hospital (Gisborne Rescue Helicopter was attending an MVA further up the East Coast).

Cardiac transfer to Wellington

21 months ago - Wednesday 19th July
• 0757 hours Requested by Air Desk to await arrival of a St John Ambulance for a helipad handover of a 41 y/o male patient with a cardiac condition, requiring immediate transfer to Wellington Hospital.

Wairoa transfer

21 months ago - Tuesday 18th July
• 1405 hours At the request of the hospital flew to Wairoa with a Doctor and Flight Nurse to retrieve a 68 y/o female patient with a medical condition.

Pregnancy complications and stroke like symptoms

21 months ago - Monday 17th July
• 0547 hours At the request of the hospital flew to Wairoa with a Midwife and our own Critical Care Paramedic to retrieve a 28 y/o female with pregnancy complications.
• 1816 hours Tasked by Air Desk to fly to Wairoa Airfield to meet a St John Ambulance with a 64 y/o female patient with stroke like symptoms – the patient was flown to Hawke’s Bay hospital for follow up assessment and treatment.

Respiratory transfer from Omakere

21 months ago - Saturday 15th July
• 1920 hours Tasked by Air Desk to fly to Omakere to attend to a 55 y/o female patient with a respiratory condition – the patient was flown to Hawke’s Bay Hospital for further assessment and treatment.

Two patient transfer from Wairoa

21 months ago - Friday 14th July
• 0854 hours At the request of hospital flew to Wairoa with a Doctor and Flight Nurse to retrieve a 60 y/o male patient with a respiratory condition. Whilst in Wairoa requested to transport a 2nd patient, a 76 y/o male with a medical condition.

Medical condition, cardiac condition and 4 lost hunters

21 months ago - Friday 7th July
• 0930 hours Tasked by Police to Ruahine Forest Park where 4 hunters were found at a location where they could not find their own way out, they were extracted by winch and returned to their car. All hunters were uninjured and did not require medical assistance.
• 1330 hours Tasked by Air Desk to Patoka, to assist a 22 y/o female with medical condition, the patient was flown to Hawke’s Bay Hospital for follow up assessment and treatment.
• 1640 hours At the request of hospital flew to Wairoa, with a Flight Nurse and our Critical Care Paramedic, to retrieve a 79 y/o male with a cardiac condition.

Car vs bus accident

21 months ago - Thursday 6th July
• 1630 hours Tasked by Air Desk to a report of car versus bus accident at Wharerata (between Mahia and Gisborne) with multiple patients – our crew were stood down soon after departure when advised that although the bus had 12 occupants, only 1 required helicopter transport and Gisborne helicopter was already on scene.

Medical transfer from Wairoa

21 months ago - Saturday 1st July
• 1800 hours At the request of Hospital flew to Wairoa with a Doctor and Flight Nurse to retrieve a 85 y/o male patient with a medical condition.

Fall from a tree in Ormondville

21 months ago - Friday 30th June
• 1621 hours Tasked by Air Desk to Ormondville where a 57 y/o male had fallen from a tree whilst pruning branches, sustaining spinal and rib injuries in the fall, he was flown to Hawke’s Bay Hospital for follow up assessment and treatment.
