Ocean Beach Horse Riding Accident

9 years ago - The Rescue Helicopter responded to Ocean Beach to airlift a 17-year-old female, who had sustained leg and shoulder injuries, after falling from her horse. She was flown to the Hawke's Bay Fallen Soldiers' Memorial Hospital for further treatment.

Woman Trapped Under Van

9 years ago - The Rescue Helicopter to Mangleton Road, near Kereru to airlift a serious injured 60 year old female, who had been trapped under her van for a number of hours. The van had left the road and rolled down a 20m bank before coming to rest on its wheels. It appears that during the latter part of the accident sequence the driver had been thrown clear of the vehicle, only for the van to roll on top of her, trapping her underneath. The NZ Fire Service was able to lift the vehicle using specialist equipment, whilst an intensive care paramedic from St John's stabilized and comforted the trapped woman. Upon being safely extracted from underneath the van, the woman was transported by rescue helicopter to the Hawke's Bay Fallen Soldiers' Memorial Hospital for further treatment.

Motorcycle Accident

9 years ago - The Rescue Helicopter airlifted a 54-year-old male from Hastings, who had sustained a shoulder injury following a fall from his motorcycle on a rural road near Mangakuri. He was flown to the Hawke's Bay Fallen Soldiers' Memorial Hospital for further treatment.

Fall in Urewara National Park

9 years ago - The Rescue Helicopter has responded to a remote area in the southern Urewera National Park, after a Personal Locator Beacon (PLB) was activated. A 60 year old woman had sustained injuries to her head, neck, chest and ankles following a 40 metre fall while tramping. She was transported to the Hawke's Bay Fallen Soldiers' Memorial Hospital for further treatment.

Rescue following fall at home

9 years ago - The Rescue Helicopter airlifted a 54-year-old female from Tuai, suffering from multiple injuries following a fall at home, to Hawke's Bay Fallen Soldiers' Memorial Hospital.

Cardiac Arrest in Whakaki

9 years ago - The Rescue Helicopter responded to a rural Whakaki address where a 62-year-old woman suffered a fatal cardiac arrest. Unfortunately St John Advanced Paramedics, declared the woman deceased at the scene.

Hospital Transfer

9 years ago - The Crew transported a male patient suffering from cardiac complications, from Wairoa Hospital to Hawke's Bay Fallen Soldiers' Memorial Hospital.

Male suffering a seizure

9 years ago - The Rescue Helicopter has airlifted a 67-year-old male from a Rural Mangarapa address, who had suffered a seizure. He was transported to the Hawke's Bay Fallen Soldiers' Memorial Hospital for further treatment.

Female with pregnancy complications

9 years ago - The Crew transported a female patient suffering from pregnancy complications, from Wairoa Hospital to the Hawke's Bay Fallen Soldiers' Memorial Hospital

Horse Riding Accident at Elsthorpe

9 years ago - The Rescue Helicopter has responded to an Equestrian event at Elsthorpe, where a 51 year old male fell from his horse and sustained chest injuries. He was transported to the Hawke's Bay Fallen Soldiers' Memorial Hospital for further treatment.
