Mountain Bike Park Accident
9 years ago - The rescue helicopter was responded to the Eskdale Mountain Bike Park to recover a teenage male from Havelock North, who had sustained a suspected broken leg after falling from his bike. He was attended to at the scene by an Advanced St John Paramedic, before being flown to the Hawke’s Bay Fallen Soldier’s Memorial Hospital for further treatment.
Attended rescue of trapped farmer
9 years ago - Responded to Aorangi Road where a male farmer had become trapped after falling into a steep river gorge while mustering cattle. He was unable to get himself out of the hole that was surrounded by 25-meter share banks, however fortunately he was able to raise the alarm via his cell phone. The Rescue Helicopter attended the scene as part of a multi-agency recovery, in which the NZ Fire Service was able to recover the man who was suffering from mild hypothermia.
Transfer to Hospital from Wairoa
9 years ago - The rescue helicopter was responded to Wairoa for male in his 20’s who sustained serious head injuries from an assault. He was transported to Hawke’s Bay Regional Hospital for further treatment.
