8 years ago - 15:30 - The rescue helicopter was responded to a river bank at Waipukarau where a 10 year old boy fell from his motorbike and sustained head injuries. He was transported to Hawke’s Bay Hospital for further treatment.
8 years ago - 18:30 - The rescue helicopter was responded to a farm at Patoka where a 12 year old boy slipped down a hill and sustained a fractured leg. He was transported to Hawke’s Bay Hospital for further treatment.
8 years ago - 14:00 - Responded to Elsthorpe to airlift a teenage girl that had sustained a suspected broken femur after falling from her horse. St John Paramedics attended to her to at the scene, before she was flown to Hawke’s Bay Hospital for further treatment.
8 years ago - 15:30 - Winch recovered a male in his 50’s who had broken his ankle while walking along a narrow track just north of Waipatiki Beach. A St John Intensive Care Paramedic attended to the man at the scene, before both were extracted via the winch, for the flight back to Hawke’s Bay Hospital.
8 years ago - 13:30 - Transported a female patient suffering pregnancy complications from Wairoa Hospital to Hawke’s Bay Hospital.
8 years ago - 18:30 - Tasked by the NZ Rescue Co-ordination Centre to respond to a 37 metre fishing trawler, 80 nautical miles north-east of Gisborne, to winch recover male in his 30’s who had been seriously injured, after being hit from behind by a large fish bin. A St John Intensive Care Paramedic was winched onto the vessel with a stretcher. After stabilizing the injured man on the deck of the ship, both parties were winched into the helicopter for the 35 minute trip back to Gisborne Hospital.
8 years ago - 16:00 - Transported a male patient suffering from serious cardiac complications from Hawke’s Bay Hospital to Wellington Hospital.
8 years ago - 15:30 - Responded to just south of Waipatiki Beach to recover a female in her 20’s who had fallen from the coastal walking track and sustained a suspected broken ankle. She was extracted using the helicopter winch, after being stabilized by an Order of St John Paramedic.
8 years ago - 09:00 - Transported a female patient suffering from pregnancy complications from Hawke’s Bay Fallen Soldier’s Memorial Hospital to Wellington Hospital.
8 years ago - 14:00 - Responded to Mohaka, after a male Fire Fighter had sustained suspected pelvic injuries after falling down a steep bank while fighting a scrub fire. An Intensive Care Paramedic from the Order of St John attended to the man, before both were winch extracted from the scene. He was flown to Hawke’s Bay Fallen Soldier’s Memorial Hospital for further treatment.
