Mahia Patient with eye injury

5 years ago - Saturday 4th April
Time = 1620 hours Tasked by Air Desk to Mahia to a male, aged in his 20’s, who was fencing on a farm when he was struck in the eye with the fencing wire, he was flown to Hawkes Bay Hospital for further assessment and treatment.

Child suffering seizures

5 years ago - Friday 3rd April
Time = 1745 hours Tasked by Air Desk to meet a road ambulance in Wairoa with a young child suffering seizures, the child was flown to Hawkes Bay Hospital.

Puketiri Farmer in need

5 years ago - Thursday 2nd April
Time: 1500 hours Tasked by Air Desk to farm near Puketitiri to a male in his 60’s who had fallen and injured his leg, he was flown to Hawkes Bay Hospital for further treatment.

Milk Tanker vs Car

5 years ago - Wednesday 1st April
Time : 2000 hours Tasked by Air Desk to an accident on a rural road near Te Pohue, milk tanker versus car. Adverse weather in the area prevented the helicopter reaching the accident scene, so the helicopter was forced to return back to base.

Wairoa Hospital transfer and tasked to Patoka

5 years ago - Saturday 28th March
• 1300 hours Tasked by DHB to fly to Wairoa Hospital with a Doctor and nurse to a female patient, aged in her 20’s. with a medical condition.
• 2200 hours Tasked by Air Desk to Patoka to a male, who had fallen and suffered a laceration to his head – the laceration was repaired by our Paramedic, so the man did not require transport.

Wairoa Rescue Missions

5 years ago - Friday 27th March
• 1245 hours Tasked by DHB to fly to Wairoa Hospital with a midwife and flight nurse to a female patient with a maternity complication.
• 1650 hours Tasked by Police to Ohuka (between Wairoa and Tuai) to recover the body of a male occupant in a vehicle in a river.

Cardiac Patient

5 years ago - Thursday 26th March
• 1640 hours Tasked by Air Desk to Whakaki (near Wairoa) to an elderly female patient with a cardiac condition, she was flown to Hawke’s Bay Hospital

A long Wednesday for the team

5 years ago - Wednesday 25th March
• 0430 hours Tasked to Wairoa Hospital by DHB with a Doctor and Flight Nurse to a male patient with a medical condition, he was flown to Hawkes Bay Hospital for follow up treatment.
• 1745 hours Tasked by Air Desk to Onga Onga to an incident where a male child had been kicked by a horse – the boy was flown to Hawkes Bay Hospital

Motorcycle accident

5 years ago - Sunday 22nd March
1700 hours Tasked by Air Desk to Maraekakaho where a teenage motor cyclist had an accident on a river bed and fractured a leg, he was flown to Hawkes Bay Hospital.

Two MVA Accidents on Saturday

5 years ago - Saturday 21st March
1530 hours Tasked by Air Desk to Taihape to a teenage motor cross rider who had fallen and suffered a head injury, the rider was transported to Whanganui Hospital
1715 hours Tasked by Air Desk to a location near Waiouru Army Camp to a MVA where a male patient suffered a leg injury, he was transported to Whanganui Hospital
