Search and Rescue mission for sinking boat

24 months ago - The Rescue Helicopter responded to a police request to search for a boat that was reported to be sinking off the Mahia coast. After a search of the coastline no boat was located.

Motor vehicle accident near Eskdale

24 months ago - At 1pm, the Rescue Helicopter responded to a multiple motor vehicle accident on State Highway 5, near Eskdale. A 59 year old woman from Eskdale was airlifted from the scene with multiple serious injuries to the Hawke's Bay Fallen Soldiers' Memorial Hospital for further treatment.

Knife accident in Tutira

24 months ago - The Rescue Helicopter responded to a rural Tutira address, to airlift a 49 year old male who had seriously cut his wrist with a knife while dressing down an animal. He was attended at the scene by a St John advanced paramedic, before being transported to the Hawke's Bay Fallen Soldiers' Memorial Hospital for further treatment.

Patient Transfer to Wellington Hospital

24 months ago - The Rescue Helicopter transported a male patient experiencing serious cardiac complications, from Hawke's Bay Fallen Soldiers' Memorial Hospital to Wellington Hospital.

Patient Transfer from Wairoa to Hastings

24 months ago - The Rescue Helicopter transported a female patient suffering from abdominal complications, from Wairoa Hospital to the Hawke's Bay Fallen Soldiers' Memorial Hospital.

Patient Transfer to Wellington Hospital

24 months ago - The Rescue Helicopter transported a female patient suffering from a brain injury, from the Hawke's Bay Fallen Soldiers' Memorial Hospital to Wellington Hospital.

Specialist Team Transfer to Wairoa

2 years ago - Transported a specialist medical team from the Hawke's Bay Fallen Soldiers' Memorial Hospital to Wairoa Hospital so they could stabilize a delicate patient for transportation via road.

Mountain Bike Accident in Askdale

2 years ago - The Rescue Helicopter responded to a mountain bike park at Eskdale where a 43 year old male had fallen while riding his bike, sustaining chest and shoulder injuries. He was transported to the Hawke's Bay Fallen Soldiers' Memorial Hospital for further treatment.

Rescue from Te Mata Peak

2 years ago - The Rescue Helicopter responded to Te Mata Peak to winch a 50-year-old female, who had sustained a serious shoulder injury following a fall from her mountain bike, whilst on one of the parks' trails. A St John advanced paramedic was winched into the incident sight, so she could be stabilized, before being extracted by winch. She was then transported to the Hawke's Bay Fallen Soldiers' Memorial Hospital for further treatment.

Farm Accident near Tuai

2 years ago - The Rescue Helicopter responded to a farm station near Tuai, to airlift a 73-year-old male from Raupunga who had suffered a spinal injury while working on a tractor. Unable to move or extract himself from the seat of the tractor for at least four hours, he was discovered by a farm worker who called the emergency services. The Rescue Helicopter transported him to the Hawke's Bay Fallen Soldiers' Memorial Hospital for further treatment.
